Gets hot enough to cook steak. I am a grandmother that lives alone and have wanted a grill for a screened porch for about 3 years. I did not need a large propane grill and really did not want to deal with propane. I looked at a number of other electric grills but due to the exceptional temperature you can use with this one made my decision easy. Also Cuisinart is known for good products. I cooked a ribeye steak on it last night and it was best steak I’ve had in a long time. The nonstick grill is so easy to pickup and wash in the sink and not too heavy. I think I will be using it regularly in the future.
This grill is great. This is a great product! It was super easy to assemble, if you can call it "assembly". It accommodates the amount of food needed for our household. Stores in a small space. I bought a cover that keeps it clean and protected. We love that the heating element is immersible and cleans easily, as well as the grill top and lid. It's just what we wanted.
Good Grill for electric. Very easy to assemble. No screws. Each part fits into the other. One thing I would like is that the temperature control was in degrees and not just 1 to 6. Only used once. But great job.
Perfect for my needs. Perfect size, very easy to clean, food doesn't slip through, yet food cooks great and taste like it's grilled. Love it so far
Takes time to heat. Take your time and heat it long before using to reach the right temperature. Also check pricing as I found it 40% less on line.Should cost $84.
Lightweight and easy to assemble. This grill is compact, lightweight and very easy to assemble.I have cooked hamburgers and a steak on it so far. It preforms very well regarding the temperature. The only thing that I can say is that the flavor is not as good as when cooked on a propane grill.I live in a condo and had to get rid of my Webber propane grill, as we can only have electric grills.I have to save I like it, but, I miss my Webber. I would recommend this electric grill for people that live in condos and apartments.
Grill. It works perfectly however I wanted more of a grill with open flame. My mistake. It’s great for inside tent, cabin or outside!!
Alternative. I'm very surprised at how well I like this item. It's electric so no coals, propane tanks, or gas lines. Easy clean up. Just right size. Heats up quickly. Nearly smokeless. Unfortunately, the cord is a bit shorter than you might expect.
Very good quality , cooks well and does not take must space on our balcony. Very easy to assemble. No# 1 product.

In addition, the Cuisinart CEG-115 has a temperature control knob, allowing you to easily adjust the heat to your desired level. The grill also has a convenient drip tray, making cleanup a breeze.

Apt friendly. This grill is great for apartments. It is light & easy to move. Cleaning is a snap. Cooks very well.
Great grilling surface. The grill has ample surface. Grease drains well to the trap... Easily cleans up with a paper towel or two. Lid fits firmly without fear of falling off if the grill is bumped.
Great. Have had several years. Very nice, functions well, simple, looks good, convenient. Still works well with regular use for a couple years now. Definitely worth it.
Good for SoCal Summer BBQ on apartment balcony. I bought this for my Southern California apartment balcony as a safe way to be able to grill out without fire or smoke issues. Our fire danger is always high lately so electric seemed safest. We don’t have much room so needed something very small, light, and portable. I received it last week and have used it a few times. It was very easy to assemble and use. (3.5/4 is best heat) Chicken breasts cook really nicely and stay tender and juicy. Brats do as well. Didn’t love the way the burgers cooked (dried out) but that could’ve been me. I will say the stand that comes with it isn’t any use to me. It’s very low - German Shepard nose height to be specific - and a bit weak. Wouldn’t be safe with kids or dogs or clumsy people on the deck at the same time. Stand Takes up a lot of space. This works just fine up on top of my bar height table on the deck though. You can serve the meat right on grill, too, which is nice for keeping it warm. The height of the domed lid and handle makes storage more awkward than needed for this lightweight slender grill. Also the screws inside the lid that hold the handle in place (you assemble screwdriver needed) are exposed so they’re not easy to clean after use. The plate itself says submersible but I won’t try that. It cleans easily (rectangle shape) in the sink with soap and water, but I find I need to also wipe it down with a paper towel after it’s dried to get residual food out of crevices completely and our hard water stains off. No need for buying long BBQ tongs or tools which is nice. Depending on size of balcony and location of outlet, it’s likely you’ll need an extension cord. You won’t confuse this with results from a wood fired grill but it’s a great solution for our specific needs and let’s us have BBQ experience (without mess and starting the next wildfire) which adds to the fun feeling of summer. I’d recommend.
Good value. Ease of use and cleaning when finished. This is a great size for the two of us.
Quality and looks. Great grill cooks evenly and best chicken I ever had
Disappointed, SMALL, NOT for 12 servings unless it's hot dogs, Inferior quality and design. Heats well and looks nice. That's the positive. That said...Grill not designed to fit snugly into stand, wobbles. NO way to secure it so it doesn't rock around when you're using it/cooking/moving food on it. Poor, bad design! Lid does not stay on well. Overall it's top heavy. Complicated to clean. Grease trap is plastic. Feet are plastic. Post is metal. Grill just sits on top of pole - kind of balancing, hence the wobbling - held in by just a groove track and metal clip but no way to tighten.Older Foreman grill much sturdier and better quality design, materials (Round one). Too much work to disassemble and box up for return. Will work OK for as often as we will use it. Would NOT purchase again, would not recommend and not at all worth the $99 price tag.
Very easy setup. So far only used it outdoors- but I would order it again
No se le pega nada, mantiene la temperatura de la parrilla. Muy fácil de limpiar ¡Excelente compra!
Nice BBQ ,heats up quick, easy to clean, big enought for a meal for up to four with 6 sausages and 6 steaks/or chicken breasts!Only point of complain is the wiggely stand !
I would like to see a removable grill plate that could be removed for cleaning.
todo perfecto
This works fine, but not like charcoal or propane. The 22 serving one kind of fits in the sink, would be better if the base was not attached. Fast heating, easy to use.
This sleek and versatile grill is perfect for both indoor and outdoor grilling, making it a must-have for any BBQ enthusiast.
With a 12-serving capacity, this electric grill is perfect for feeding a crowd at your next backyard barbecue. The non-stick cooking surface ensures that your food cooks evenly and is easy to clean up afterward. Plus, the adjustable temperature control allows you to cook everything from burgers to veggies with precision.
Whether you’re grilling up some burgers for a summer cookout or cooking up some kebabs for a family dinner, the George Foreman Electric Grill has you covered. Its compact design makes it easy to transport and store, while its durable construction ensures that it will last for many grilling seasons to come.
Pros:
- Large cooking surfaces can feed a crowd
- Can be used indoors or outdoors
- Easy to clean with removable grill plates
Cons:
- Some users find it takes longer to heat up
- Lacks temperature control settings

No propane tanks. Perfect size. Love the color, bright shiny red. Screams summertime BBQ s. Gets real hot..up to 500 degrees when the attached lid is closed, wheels are an added bonus, sturdy ,well made, thick heavy grates, lil top shelf to toast buns! Enjoy. No getting your tank refilled.
Great balcony grill. I think this grill is pretty efficient! The key to using this electric grill is Patience! It is true that when the lid is lifted it loses temperature and it takes several minutes to recoup! It's easy to clean. I have cleaned my grill after each use. It's not an issue! It's not like natural gas or propane, or charcoal! It just takes patience to cook on it!
Well Made Grill. This is a very sturdy well made grill. Assembly is not terrible and none of the pieces feel cheaply made. We have used it a few times, and it's worked well. Other reviewers have mentioned the fact that when the top is open, the temperature lowers quickly. This is true. I do not think you could cook with the lid open like you can on gas and charcoal. That might not even be possible with an electric grill.Recommended.
Ability to sear steaks and long term reliability. I have 3 total of these. Two are table top and this new one is a patio version. The two older table top have been going since the first and second year they came out. Only issue is on one of them I had to recalibrate the thermostat because it got to where the grill was on when thermostat was cut back to off. One of the cons on this new patio version is the light is on all of the time so you don’t know when the element is on or off. The other is on a windy day it takes a lot longer cooking time because of the wider vent gap at the rear making this version a lot less energy efficient. See pictures above. The 2 tabletop version have seen a lot of use and have been very reliable. These are really good for the high heat needed to seer steaks and long term reliability.
It is the best, if only good choice for apartment balconies. As others have stated, there is a maximum amount of wattage thar a normal household outlet will allow. In the US, that is 15 amps or approximately 1600 watts. This means that this little guy will not get super hot, but it gets hot enough. It grills food well. I like to spray a little basting sauce (mostly cooking oil) on the grate occasionally to add smoke. I have found it lacking in nothing in terms of flavor, grill marks or heat distribution. I cook on number 5 always, and that is enough to grill, but never burn. As others have mentioned. The temperature gauge is not all that accurate, but it is also unnecessary. Set the dial to 5 and cook. That'd it. It was a more complicated build than I imagined, but I like that stuff. I do wish that the grill had a built in shelf. I believe the previous model did. I believe that the feature wa as deleted as it could have caused tipping problems. I justuse an old TV tray next to the grill. It isso easy, convenient and attractive that it compliments any outdoor space. Never have to buy propane. Never had a flare up. The grates are fairly non stick and are much better than the thin wire bars of some grills. Because it is so simple and easy, I do most all of my cooking on it.
Great Grill. Easy to set upLove the electric and no propane to buy and no smokeEasy to scrub grillCooks great less burningIf you desire easy grilling I’d recommend this grill!
Poor Heat Control. Takes quite a long time for it to get to temp and once opened it fails to recover temp fast enough to cook steaks correctly. Instead of searing and then broiling for a few minutes, it took 10+ to cook a NY strip to medium. Temp was barely back up to 350. Nice if your just looking to make raw things not raw, but just go with a portable gas grill if you want things to taste good and take half the time to cook.Because the temp is so hard to control the finished grill surfaces become difficult to clean, and since they are coated using anything abrasive will only make it worse. You just have to deal with it being a mess.
This grill is for real. I was highly skeptical of buying an electric grill, but living in an apartment and not being able to grill was enough motivation for me to try one out. I looked at all the reviews for this one and the other highly rated ones(Weber) and decided to go with the Char Broil. I own a Char Broil propane InfraRed grill (currently in storage) so I know how to cook on it, this is definitely a help. One very important thing that I added to this grill is I lined the inside of the grill with ceramic briquettes so it would do a better job of holding and retaining heat, and this definitely works...this was something I also did with the propane infrared as well.I started cooking simple things on this grill...chicken first, and then pork. You definitely have to let it heat up for a solid 20 minutes before use. Once heated it does a really nice job. You can't play around with your food with the lid open, it will take time to recover the heat, even with the ceramic briquettes inside.I have moved on to better quality meats and had very good success. I've grilled some t-bones, strip steaks, and filet's...all came out perfectly with excellent flavor. I then graduated and tried some bbq style low temperature grilling with a tri tip. I was very impressed at the quality of bark I was able to get...a very tasty piece of meat.Don't buy this expecting it to be just like a gas grill, it's definitely different. The benefit of electric however is you can get really consistent temperature control at lower temperatures. I honestly think that when I get out of the apartment I will still use this for certain things, especially considering it is very convenient to not need to refill a propane tank.
Adéquat pour petit espace très bonne cuisson
Fácil de armar, fácil de limpiar.
I really like the aesthete of this bbq. I needed 2 sets of hands to assemble, but it went together easily with a bit of help holding things in place. It fits perfectly on my back deck for impromptu meals and snacks. I would suggest purchasing two bbq bricks to go down under the element to help with heat retention and even heat distribution, but it will work okay without. I’m winter quing so the bricks help.
The media could not be loaded. Es muy práctico, solicito el envío del mango de la tapa, en el catálogo es la pieza # 8
Very nice looking bbq. Easy to assemble and heats up perfectly. Only small downfall is when you open the top and then close it takes a few minutes to heat back up to the set temp but otherwise I love it!
With its TRU-Infrared cooking technology, this electric grill ensures even heat distribution for perfectly cooked meals every time. Say goodbye to hot spots and uneven cooking with this innovative feature.
The compact design of the Patio Bistro makes it perfect for small outdoor spaces like balconies or patios. Don’t let limited space hold you back from enjoying delicious grilled meals.
Pros:
- Infrared technology cooks food evenly
- Compact size is great for small spaces
- Durable construction
Cons:
- Temperature control can be tricky to master
- Somewhat limited cooking surface

Just what I needed after my old grill died. The George Foreman Silver 12+ Servings Indoor/Outdoor Electric Grill has become an essential part of my daily cooking routine, both inside and outside the house. I use it for grilling burgers, steaks, chicken, and so much more. The versatility of this grill is outstanding. Whether I'm cooking for a small family dinner or hosting a backyard barbecue for a crowd, it never disappoints. The generous cooking space of up to 15 servings is a game-changer, making it easy to prepare large meals without any fuss. The convenience of being able to use it indoors or outdoors is a huge plus. I don't have to worry about the weather or the time of day – I can enjoy perfectly grilled food year-round. The adjustable temperature control allows for precise cooking, ensuring that everything comes out just the way I like it.Cleaning is a breeze, thanks to the removable grill plate, and it's a real time-saver in my busy schedule. The non-stick surface makes cooking and cleaning up a joy, and I love that I can spend more time savoring my delicious grilled meals and less time scrubbing. The George Foreman Electric Grill is not just a kitchen appliance; it's become an integral part of my culinary experience. It consistently delivers mouthwatering results, making every meal a true delight. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys grilling and wants a versatile, hassle-free, and high-quality grilling solution. It's a fantastic addition to any home, and it's earned its place in my daily cooking routine.
Another Winner From Big George Foreman. I've become a big believer in the small appliance line-up from George Foreman. I've owned at least four of these products and they've proven to be durable---and have delivered on their promises. There are knock-offs of these GF appliances that sell for less---and often, buyers are disappointed when they expect the performance of a Foreman and end up with junk. What makes the Foreman products so good? Even heating, really good non-stick surfaces, clever designs that drain fat and grease away from the food and attractive finishes that look good in your home. In a nutshell, that's why I keep coming back for more.Regarding this grill: It has a very large cooking area and five heat settings so you can do it all----from searing to merely keeping foods warm. I've cooked all the usuals----hot dogs, burgers, sausages, vegetables---and last night, threw some St. Louis style beef ribs on the grill. The big domed cover has the ability to hold all steam inside----or vent. This is useful in cooking once you experiment and find the best ways of using it. The grill was simple to assemble and it's also easy to disassemble for cleaning and emptying the pan that holds the drained fats. I bought the grill for a patio room----looking forward to grilling in the Winter while watching it snow outside! Last night, I brought the grill up to my first floor and did the ribs in my family room. It's large, but not heavy---so it's easy to move it to various locations, even keeping it fully assembled. Also, it's stable enough that I don't fear that it will fall over. In that regard, it's well designed-----lightweight but stable. And again, that cooking surface is large enough for whole chickens----a turkey even! Or you can put steaks or a roast on it. And the dome is large enough to cover most foods without any contact. The grill heats up very quickly and the heat settings are accurate. Again, you have to cook on it a few times to find your preferences for different foods. When I did those ribs----I started them in a Crock Pot and let them cook tender for a few hours, then moved them to the hot Foreman grill and continued the cooking, gradually building up to high heat----crisping them nicely before basting with sauce and putting the domed cover back on to finish them off. You hear the sizzle and you experience many of the aspects of a true outdoor grill----and it's convenient and can be used inside, all year round. I will still use my Char-Broil outdoor gas grill for most Summer grilling because I want to be outside. And I'll also use my charcoal grills on occasion, just for a change of pace and slightly different flavor for meats. But this George Foreman Indoor-Outdoor grill has become a favorite for indoor grilling to keep some of the Summer magic alive in the Winter. I hope the owners of the George Foreman cooking line continue to branch out and continue to do a great job of offering affordable appliances that work as they are designed to. This one is terrific.
No-fuss, no-muss outdoor barbecue. This is my first time to purchase and use my own barbecue grill. We just moved to a house with a big sunny patio that was just screaming for a barbecue. I read lots about different kinds of grills on amazon and other web sites, especially customer reviews. I had decided on the Weber gold grill, since that seemed to be the all-time favorite. I had concerns about the environmental and health effects of the smoke/pollution caused by traditional grilling, but I thought it was one of those things I'd simply have to deal with, if I wanted to cook tasty food on our wonderful sunny patio.I don't know why I didn't buy that charcoal grill; I had it in my shopping cart at amazon for like a week. I guess I was still worried about the environmental thing. I went back to looking up electric grills, and as before, I noticed most of the reviews were pretty wishy washy. Then, all of a sudden I noticed all of the excellent reviews for this George Foreman grill. Some of the people said the food tastes just as good; some said they actually PREFERRED this to the charcoal grill, and some of them said you can grill outdoors without all of the hassle and mess of charcoal. Oh, I hadn't thought of that particular advantage! I'd love to have less clean-up to do. Another thing: I don't know much about making a fire and cooking with it (this was something I figured I'd learn, trial by fire, as they say, once I got my charcoal grill). So ... even though I had planned on learning it, I do have lots of other things to do in life, and if there was a way for me to get the effect I wanted (outdoor cooking), without having to learn how to deal with charcoal, etc, well, all the better. And, the Weber grill was like 50% more expensive than the George Foreman. So I decided, why don't I just buy the George Foreman, and if I don't like it, I can always buy a charcoal grill later. In fact, I figured I was going to need at least 2 grills when I throw a backyard party, so why not just start with the cheaper, easier solution and see how it goes.So I got the George Foreman, and it has been a big hit! When the food is cooking, it smells so good! Smells like a real barbecue to me, even though there's no charcoal smoke. I'm vegetarian, so we've only cooked veggie stuff on the grill ... apple-sage artisan veggie sausage links, tofurkey dogs, asparagus, eggplant, veggie skewers (onions, yellow squash, zucchini, tomatoes, red peppers, whole garlic cloves), and buns. We tried roasting corn on the cob directly on the grill as shown in the picture, but it got too dry. So we wrapped the corn in aluminum foil, and it comes out so juicy! Yum! Everything else we've tried comes out perfect, directly on the grill. We use the grill on the highest temperature setting "5," and pretty much keep the lid closed the whole time. This electric grill makes so much sense. We have outdoor electrical outlets in the back of the house ... why go to all the trouble to make a fire with charcoal when we can get the job done with electricity!I think it will work out awesome if we just get a couple more before our big housewarming party. My boyfriend says people will complain that it's not authentic, if we don't have a charcoal grill. But the thing is: the food is delicious, it's easier to clean up (in fact, REALLY EASY!), it's better for the environment, it's healthier for us (cleaner air to breathe, and less risk of burns or starting a fire, esp. when children are around), and the real fun is being outdoors in the sun, smelling the food cook, and enjoying each juicy morsel hot off the grill, which is definitely what you get with the George Foreman. So if people think I'm wimpy/selling out, well, that's their problem. The same people who can't see how sensible this is, surely think I'm wimpy for being vegetarian. So who cares what they think!I love the grill, and I think most people who try the food cooked on it will love it, too.
Mejor que las parrillas de gas menos problemática y buen asado
The grill was pretty much pre-assembled and sturdier than I expected it to be. The base feet and the bowl are plastic, the pole, lid and griddle, of course, are metal. Nice long HD cord. After heating at 5 for ten minutes, my infra red thermometer read well over 500° with the 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock quadrant being a bit of a hotspot. The 3 setting read 350° to 375°. The plastic bowl barely got even warm. This was done indoors at an ambient temperature of 73°F.I plan on experimenting with a smoker tube or foil pack of charcoal pellets, but it will certainly get hot enough to sear a steak and I think adjustable enough for low and slow BBQ (maybe with a small water pan, if needed). The grill cooking surface is 17.5" diameter, or 240 in². It is totally removable for easy cleaning, unlike the 240S model.Mine came without a cover and no warming rack, but they may be available, if you want them. They have a three year warranty and I purchased an extra three years for $6.99 CDN.
One of the best barbeque I have seen
Apres 2 semaine d'utilisation.
Me gustó mucho!

User reviews
Great for those of us not allowed to use propane/charcoal in our buildings. I added the below to the review page for the griddle add-on for this item and thought it might be helpful here as well...IMPORTANT UPDATE 6/15/2014I ordered a second griddle because I prefer cooking on a flat surface since it is mainly veggies and small items. The plan was to replace BOTH the grates with these griddles but the instruction booklet that came with the griddle plate was very vague. There is a picture of an electric cord, which I am assuming means for the electric model-- and next to that is a picture of a flat griddle placed on the left side of the unit. There is a picture of the flat griddle placed on the right side, but that picture has a sad face. There is no other information provided for the electric model of this grill. Unfortunately, that is what happens when you try to create one instruction manual to cover multiple items that are very similar in appearance but VERY different as far as how they actually work.Under the sad face picture, it says "Do not use two griddles side by side on your Weber GAS grill." There is no mention of the electric version but the sad face concerned me. I just called Weber and they informed me that you cannot use two griddles side by side on this unit because it may overheat since the entire top will be covered and there's no real escape for all of the heat. Just a heads up if you are considering doing this. You can only use one and it should be placed on your left when you are standing in front of the grill. I totally get the reasoning for this but other electric griddles have flat tops and there is apparently no issue there. I did not want to chance it with this one without getting verification from Weber first.Original review:I picked this up a few days ago because I had been using a small, tabletop grill and wanted to go all out. It was much more expensive than the other offerings and I thought long and hard about the Meco versus this model. In the end, I chose this one because since this type of thing uses a lot of electricity, I figured the higher price would provide a much higher build quality. I cannot compare this to the Meco since I did not get that one, but the build quality on this grill is fantastic. Everything feels so well made.It is listed here as being over 40 pounds but I find that hard to believe. I did take it out of the box and put it in my car to take home and the unit without the cooking grates is nowhere near too heavy to carry up a flight of stairs. In fact, the box with the two grill plates was much heavier than the grill and that required two hands but was very doable.Assembly was very easy and my first dinner was grilled veggies and burgers. I use a mix of carrot chips, string beans and onions marinated in teriyaki sauce and had to put them in a small, square pan so they would not fall through. They came out great for the first go. The burgers were seared and well done as we like them and we were very pleased.I did notice that the surge protector that I have this plugged into (I do not have an outlet near the window so I am forced to use one) showed a very dim light on the "Overload" button but the circuit did not trip. Unfortunately, we are renters so changing anything electric wise is not allowed. The circuit did not trip and after several days of using it, we have had no problems as far as tripping the breaker, so that is good.Today, I grilled two shell steaks, some baby potatoes and the same mix of veggies. Today's dinner did not require a small pan because I bought the "griddle" attachment for this grill. It is available here on Amazon and you substitute that griddle for one of the slotted grates. This allows you to cook on a flat surface if needed and that's a great convenience. The griddle is not smooth like the grates are and that was a little disappointing but it really expands the possibilities on this grill.Dinner was great. The steaks had nice grill marks on them, the veggies and potatoes were good. The carrots were a little too crunchy for my taste so I know for next time. I'm looking forward to using this a lot this summer.Cleaning is a bit rough. We have a small sink but the grates fit in there and I soak them in hot soapy water for about 30 minutes once they are cool enough to remove from the unit. The inner jacket comes out as well and will need to be soaked and scrubbed. It's a job, but worth it to be able to cook outdoors and not have all that cooking heat in the apartment. All in all I am extremely pleased with this grill.
Great grill for those who live in buildings with a balcony. I have a decent size balcony and wanted to take advantage of having a grill to cook for the spring and summer days since I am a huge cooking fan, let alone grilling. Unfortunately as others have said, I cannot have gas nor charcoal due to flames and fire hazard. I was iffy on having an electric grill as I didn't think it would produce the results and grill marks as traditional grilling provides.Spent a ton of time researching and came across this grill. First off, it's a Weber. That is a very trusted brand within the bbq community and their regular grills are known to be top notch and of great quality. Plus reading the rave reviews here on how well this performed, I took a chance and ordered this. There is more than enough surface area to cook multiple items and all areas cook evenly thanks to the quality craftsmanship. The grates also create a nice grill mark on your favorite meats and veggies making it look very attractive. Two years later, this grill is still going on strong and working great. Still cooking all my favorite items with even heat distribution across the entire surface area. Cleanup isn't to bad as I've found myself lining up the pan with foil to let the grease go straight into the drip pan. I just need to clean the grates and replace the drip pan and we are good to go for the next cooking session.Highly recommend if you are in the market for an electric grill. You will not be disappointed.
Easy to use. It is a great little grill. So far I’ve only grilled burgers. They were great. The grill grates are heavy but I only pick up one at a time. I’m eighty, they would probably feel light to a younger person. The quality of the grill is good. It has a liner in the box that comes out for cleaning. Which makes it easy for me.
Great electric grill with limits. This is a review on the Weber Q 2400 electric grillI have used the 2400 electric q grill for a month now and have been pleased. I am a Weber fan and this is my 5th Weber grill and will compare the ones I have owned.Kettle charcoal grill - in my opinion, the best grill on the market. You can't beat the flavor from a quality stack of coals. However, this one has limitations like being in apartments or having cooking time limitations making waiting for burning coals a challenge.Q 100 and 300 series. Both cook very well and evenly. The 100 has a smaller grilling area, and the 300 is perfect size for a family. The Q series is great because the heavy grill plate distributes the heat very well through the entire cooking surface. The 300 is not as portable as the 100.The 2400 electric is excellent for what it is. It has the same heavy grilling surface as the other q modelsPros of the 2400:- Electric burners are clean and it simply can't get easier or more convenient.- It has Weber’s quality in the product.- Heats nicely and can put a nice sear on meat. I read a few people criticize the grill for lack of making a good sear – I have not noticed that as a problem.- Has a nice flavor, better than expected. Most of the grilling flavor comes from the smoke from the meat juices, and this grill, like all the other Q’s, keeps the smoke contained to flavor the meat.- Easier to clean than the 100300. It has aluminum liners that can come out of the shell that are easier to clean than the bare shell.Cons- Expensive- It doesn’t seem cook as well at low settings as the gas grills based on one experience. I like to grill salmon at a low temp and it didn’t cook quite as well as the gas grill. I think this is due to the burners turning off and on versus a very low constant flame. I think there may be a learning curve for this, as it was based on one experience.- Cooking in between the metal grates on the grill plate is not quite as crisp as the gas. It does a good job, but I think the constant adjustable gas heat cooks in between a little better. My over all opinion is if you can do charcoal, the kettle is hard to beat. If charcoal is not an option then I would suggest the Q gas grill. My family lives in a rural area where getting a propane tank filled is a bit of a pain, so we went electric. The flavor with the gas is a little better, but it is not a huge difference. You can still get the great grill flavor with the electric grill. It also did a great job on kebab with both meats and veggies. If you like Weber’s and need to go electric the good news is you can still get a great piece of meat off this grill, and I would highly recommend it this case.Addendum:Having used the grill for over a year, I can add more. First, I would get the propane first, if possible. The constant adjustable heat is superior. I do think Weber made an electric grill as good as you can get. It's electric. It's not as weather proof. Ours stopped working after 1.5 years. We lived in Kodiak, AK with alot of wind and rain. We kept it covered. Went back to the q2200 gas grill.
We got a Q2400 and is larger and more powerful than my previous one. Definitely easier to clean becausethe have the silver lining and they removable. Definitely a great improvement. Thank you Weber.
Just received & did some burgers only so far. It will take some getting used to as compared to Weber gas / propane units it’s much slower outside at this time of year. It would benefit enormously by having a built in thermometer in the hood as my gas Weber had. I purchased the bonnet protective cover & put it into service which I regret since I just discovered a full cover is available to enclose the unit & the cart. Looks excellent as a complete system !
Heats up nicely and is a pleasure to cook on. Temperature seems to recover quickly after lifting lid. I have done brats, burgers and beef tenderloin. All have been a success.
Very easy to clean. Large cooking surface provides even cooking. Great for condo’s that don’t allow gas bbq’s on decks. Weber stands behind their products.
Perfect solution in places you can’t use gas or propane. Gets very hot. Easy to keep it clean.
