This is hopefully my last grill, It was partially assembled and the best part was all the parts were here and I had to assemble the legs front and then place the grill part on that base with appropriate screws that had nuts in place. One person did this on a card table in the house in less than two hours. Not the most mechanically inclined I managed to do this and not yell or throw any parts!!I used it the other nice and there are no flareups. I did hamburgers and you can actually cook things on here with out constant attention. I had to turn the burger maybe three times but evenly cooked all four with no fire or burned halves like others. The center know controls the spark to ignite and I did have to look to make sure it was lighting as it is very quiet. Nice thermometer on this grill and the handle allows opening all the way, I did have to pull away from the wall as if it was close it would hit the wall, but it looks nice.I'm hoping steaks will be easy to do by allowing them to bake like an oven with the constant tem, I did not get any grease fires on 80/20 hamburger, my older table top was so uneven cooking this one evenly cooked on two burners. A tad slow to warm up so maybe I should have warmed up but it stayed to about 340 degrees but I kept opening to make sure so seriously you will be able to actually sit and enjoy the wait, not constantly turn and find a better spot to cook on.They actually took the industry and made a better grill, at an affordable price. Its not the fanciest in the neighborhood but for a decent price dependable grill you won't make a bad choice. They even give you a card to contact and email for company. Lots of Styrofoam so keep the box handy to put in back into.

★★★★★ Nice! Very even heat control and distribution. I have to start out by saying that I really love this grill. We bought this grill to replace a very similar, 3 burner grill that we had for the last 15 years. The burners on our old grill were rusting out and overall it was in pretty rough shape, so time for something new. I wish I had bought this Captiva Designs grill years ago! Even though our old grill was a major brand name grill, the new Captiva Designs grill beats it hands-down in every area. The biggest thing is the consistency and output of the main burners. We get a nice even blue flame across everyone of the burners on the new grill. It is extremely consistent, so that you get evenly distributed heat across the grilling surface. Plus it gets HOT, like really hot, if you want it to. Our old grill was a lot less consistent and could barely get up to 400F, if we pushed it. In contrast, the Captiva Designs grill can get up to 700F! Even though I like getting out on our back deck and grilling, I like how this grill can save me time with a quick heat up process. The enamel coated iron grating is “great” too. 😊 It seems very robust and durable. I feel confident that it will last a long time and cleans up easily. The ignition system is nice too with spark generators at each burner (which surprised me as a nice quality touch).The grill does come very well packaged in a heavy box. There is a decent amount of assembly required, as you would expect. Good instructions are included, though. It took me about an hour to completely get it all put together. The instructions also direct you to crank the heat up to max for 10 minutes to burn off all of the oil and further bake the paint on the grill before you actually cook with it. That’s how I got my grill up to 700F was during this burn-in process. I highly recommend that you do not forget this step as the grill will really smoke through this process. 10 minutes wasn’t quite enough for me, I went for 15 minutes. Basically, though, you just run it at maximum heat until it stops smoking. The smoke from those manufacturing oils is not something that you want in your food, so I went those extra 5 minutes just to make sure that it was good.Overall I have been very pleased not only with the quality of the construction of this grill, but also with the excellent job that it does in cooking evenly across a nice grate surface. I would definitely recommend this grill, especially if you (like I was) are considering an upgrade from an older grill.

★★★★☆ Complicated assembly but nice grill. The grill was missing the grease cup, but the manufacturer sent me one quickly.Assembly took 1.5 hours and was quite complicated. The materials are cheap and bend easily.However, now that it is together and I've used the grill multiple times I'm quite happy with it. It's a budget grill to be sure, but it's perfectly compact for an apartment balcony and I love the versatility of the standard grill or griddle.The heat zones take some time to get used to. The front of the grill is cooler and the back is hotter, and you can control the left and right heat separately.The lid is flush against the grill so you can't really use it when cooking food, but it does protect the top from dust and rain.Overall I'm satisfied with this grill as a smaller budget option.

Everything was there and works well but if you have no mechanical experience the assembly instructions are slightly confusing which can make it difficult for a novice to assemble. The propane tank fullness gage is basically worthless. Cooking and lighting is easy and the heat distribution is very good and easy to control. the grill plates seem to be doing extremely well so far and do not deteriorate like some cheaper brands. Overall I recommend this grill as being a great value.

★★★★★ Well engineered and constructed. This is an excellent grill, especially for the price and considering that it is on the low end of the Weber line. I give it 5 stars in every category.I'll talk about the assembly process first because many people report having trouble putting the grill together. I am an automotive service technician at a car dealership and have better than average mechanical skills. The cars I work on are orders of magnitude more complex than a gas grill, and assembling this grill was a breeze.First, get yourself a powered screwdriver or screw gun with a torque-limiting clutch. If you don’t have one, borrow or buy one. There are around 40 screws that you will need to install and tighten, and doing it by hand will be tedious and time consuming. Also, someone mentioned getting a cut from a sharp edge. The edges of the metal are indeed sharp, so be careful handling the parts. Weber should have done a better job of de-burring the edges.Some reviewers reported having difficulty getting the screws started because the holes didn't line up. This is absolutely not the case, the build quality and manufacturing tolerances are excellent, and everything lines up perfectly. Where some people run into trouble is that they tighten each screw as they install them. Doing this will make assembly difficult or impossible. It is very important to start all screws by hand and leave them loose until all are installed. I cannot emphasize this enough, tightening the screws should be the very last thing you do when assembling the grill. This should be stated in the instructions, but it is not. Leaving them loose during assembly allows the parts to shift a little so the holes can be lined up.All screws and small hardware are packaged in bags labeled A through F, and the instructions indicate which bag to use. I initially thought they had shorted me some screws, the instructions were calling for screws from the A bag, which were all used up. I robbed screws from the C bag to complete the assembly, and in the end I had a screw, a washer and a cotter pin left over.Some reported finding the legs bent when they were unpacked. One of the legs on mine was slightly bent, but the steel is light-gauge and I was able to straighten the leg by hand and with no tools.It took me about an hour and a half to complete the assembly, using a helper to place the cover on the grill and install the hinge pins. It could be done by one person, but having a helper for this step makes the process easier.The assembly instructions are almost entirely pictorial, with very little text. I usually don’t like this, but the drawings are clear and very detailed. If you follow the steps listed in the instructions in order, you will have no problems.I attached a tank of LP, checked for leaks (very important!) and fired it up. Light the left burner first, the right burner lights from the left one. The grill reached 600 degrees in about 10 minutes on a hot July day. I haven’t cooked anything yet, but the grill appears to work fine and I expect good results. Another excellent product from Weber!

★★★★★ Best value - buy this one, not the one with the stainless cabinet. If you preheat properly, you'll do well every time. The 3-burner doesn't have that much more grill space; this is plenty for up to four people. Take your time assembling; time consuming but pretty simple. Should last a good long time, don't buy the model with the stainless cabinet as they tend to rust within a few years. My last Weber lasted 27 years (!!) so I expect to get plenty of use out of this one.

★★★★★ Always Buy the Weber - Worth Every Penny. I've avoided Weber grills in the past due to the price. They are expensive, especially for the 3 and 4 burner units. After my old grill basically rusted out (after about 6 years), I decided to go ahead and buy this one. It is worth every penny of the extra cost.First, the assembly is pretty easy. It can be done with one person, but two is better, especially toward the end of the procedure. The parts are clearly marked, especially the screws and other hardware. The directions are clear, a slight upgrade from something like Ikea directions. It took me about 90 minutes to assemble it.The grill itself is very well built as would be expected for a $500 purchase. Everything is solid. The heavy cover keeps in the heat extremely well. I love that the heat controls actually control heat. On most grills I've owned, it's a toss up whether or not you can lower the temperature. This Weber grill gives you much more control over temperature so you don't "blacken" everything you cook. Another great feature is the contraption on the side that lets you know when you're out of gas. Nothing sucks more than running out of propane half way through a cook.I haven't used the iGrill feature yet, but I might give it a try for larger steaks and single pieces of meat. All in all, I've used the grill about six times in the last week and a half and I have nothing to complain about.

★★★★☆ Get someone else to put it together for you. Nice grill. Obviously very good quality compared to cheaper grills we see advertised all the time. It's solid, parts fit together well. Nothing cheap or flimsy on it. Well designed and works like the larger Weber grills I've had in the past. Easy to move about because of its size. Biggest issue I had was putting it together. It's packed like Fort Knox. The box weighs 90 + lbs on delivery. It took me over an hour to get it out of the box on the porch and put the packing into recycling. Moving all the parts to a construction area where I could put it together took more time. This is NOT a 1 hour assembly project!! I had trouble right away because one of the legs was bent at the bottom and would not assemble without adjustment. Bad start as I didn't know why it would not go together. After that all was fine, but slow and tedious to complete. Instructions are excellent. Use can also use the BLT app which shows you more detail. Best to pay the vendor to put it together for you. Money well spent, I say. Got it on sale from Amazon. Yes Weber puts their grills on sale.

★★★★★ Awesome Grill. This is a great grill. Heats up very fast with even heat distribution. They are serious when they say you should have a buddy help you assemble it. I am a mechanic and it took me a little over 2 hours to assemble by myself and it is heavy. One tip, the hose, side burner control and ignitor are zip tied underneath the bottom of the main cooking housing (Below the burners, under the controls). I had to remove that the main cooking housing to find them.

This grill replaces my old Charbroil (about 10 years old) which experienced multiple rust throughs in the firebox, after having had the burners and deflectors replaced twice. We bought this because it has the back burner for the rotisserie, which I really like, and you can't find any longer except on this unit, and ones costing twice as much.So, The good:The finish was good, and despite other reviews indicating shipping damage, we did not experience that. It went together in under the time described by other customers, and went together fairly easily, more about that later. The grills are SOLID and produce a good sear, the system heats up fairly quickly, and cleanup doesn't look too hard.The bad:I was missing three of the "A" screws in the kit, didn't want to deal with contacting CHINA to get three screws, so I had to go down to the local farm store for metric stainless bolts. slightly annoying but no big thing, cost about $5.00 for the bolts.It would have been nice if the manufacturer's instructions for assembly would have pointed out that the lines, valve, and sparker for the side burner were stuffed up inside the main unit where the rest of the valves are. The instructions do NOT tell you to remove those from the main body before bolting it down to the chassis. Untuck them before you lift the main unit and put it on the chassis, it will make your life a lot easier! The grill over the side burner should be bigger by about three inches. I was making "Cowboy Candy" on it, which involves boiling a lot of vinegar, sugar, and Jalapenos. NOT something you want to do in the house! My big pot does not fit on the burner squarely, it ends up canted because the base is bigger than the cooking surface of the side grill. Even one inch more would have helped.The ugly:The cart system seems a bit flimsier than my old Charbroil. It's solid right now, and I may be borrowing trouble, but I wish the back were fully enclosed, instead of the round stock brace holding the louvered back in place, (see picture 3)Now all of that said, a few caveats. Considering assembly, my wife and I are professionals (she's an engineer at a naval shipyard, and I'm a retired Electrical manager at the same yard.) so we're used to putting things together and taking them apart, and we have power tools, YMMV.I seem to have listed more cons than pros, this was not to say that it's a bad grill. I would buy it again, based on the limited time I've had it (this was written a week and a half after arrival and I've only cooked on it four times.) It's got all the features I wanted, and plenty of space.

★★★★★ Love this thing. While my first order was damaged in shipping and I had to hassle with Amazon CS to get it reshipped, once I received the grill, I was thoroughly impressed! Assembly, while a tad time consuming, was not as difficult as most reviews here make it seem. If you can assemble a Lego kit, you can assemble this grill no problem. About a 2hr assembly time solo by my estimation, not bad given the size of the thing. I've used it a dozen and a half times already and every single time it's heats evenly and quickly. The top rack gets a nice distributed heat that I've used to cook jalapeno poppers and stuffed mushrooms with great success. The grills are a breeze to clean, as are the drain pans. Overall build quality is great too with a few minor nitpicks such as a small dent on the side of the hood and the left side tray not snugging up as well as it should. In the end, I am very pleased with this purchase and will be recommending Royal Gourmet to my friends and familyPS: haven't used the rotisserie feature yet but will update when I do.

★★★★★ Great Grill but the Rotisserie. I love this grill! Heat is even, sears very well, the back burner for the rotisserie is excellent. It was easy to assemble albeit a long process. But... the rotisserie shaft bends very easily! It is impossible to roast 2 chickens as it bends the shaft down to the grill grates. Also, if you manually support the shaft, there is not enough clearance (birds were trussed). This was disappointing! 😕
